Chrissie
Chrissie is standing on a light parquet floor with a herringbone pattern, in front of plain white filing cabinets that contain historical records. Chrissie’s stance is casual, hands in pockets.
Chrissie is short with a slim build. Her hair is shaved on the sides, longer on top, tousled brown with bleached tips. She is wearing large colourful, irreverent earrings, each in the shape of a lit cigarette dangling from a voluptuous mouth with glossy black lipstick. Chrissy’s lipstick is bright red, a shade called ‘Dancer.’
Her waist length, felted jacket is very textured. She made it by massaging merino fleece and colourful scraps of silk with warm soapy water, until they came together to create a lightweight fabric. The base of the jacket is dark green and rose pink, with wisps of purple, blue, and gold silk offering sculptural flair at the front. Chrissy has wrapped a lightweight woollen scarf around her neck, rather like a loose collar. The scarf is striped with bands of red and navy, and teal blue and green.
Her long pants are linen, patterned with a small check of deep russet and navy blue. They are very baggy, dropped crotch, and become narrower near the ankle. The pants have huge sculptural pockets that have been described as ‘very Vivienne Westwood’. Her flat boots are dark brown lace ups with brogue stitching on top.
